Tabletop Comparison Tool Now Available

A few months ago, HandgunHero was being discussed on /r/CCW and someone suggested being able to overlay handguns on top of eachother as another way to see how they compare. It made a lot of sense and I agreed it would be very useful. After all, the idea of HandgunHero was originally inspired by an abandoned (now completely deleted) tool that did just that. For those of you that never used it, here's what it looked like:

Old nivlam.github.io comparison tool (now deleted)

Initially I was hesitant at the effort of processing 600+ images to remove shadows/noise and make all of their backgrounds transparent. I let the idea bounce around in my head a bit and decided to go for it. Ultimately, HandgunHero's purpose is to let you compare sizes of any handguns as best as possible short of holding them in your hands. The concept of stacking handguns on top of eachother is a very intuitive and important means of comparing sizes.

So here it is: the Tabletop Comparison. You can select several handguns at once, move and reorder them as you want, and also toggle their opacity so you can partially see through the handguns. Here it is in action:

And here are a few more examples of what you can do:
